John R. Jonge Poerink
Partner


John R. Jonge Poerink has over 16 years experience in management, marketing and operations of some of the world’s largest and most distinguished consumer brands. As a brand and business development executive at The Limited Brands, he worked on Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works, and was instrumental in orchestrating the merger of the company’s Structure and Express divisions into a new $2.2 billion dual-gender retail organization.

Prior to the Limited Brands, Mr. Poerink spent six years with Benetton Group SpA, both in Italy and in the United States, where he was responsible for international marketing and business development of the United Colors of Benetton and Sisley brands, operating more than 6,000 stores worldwide. In addition, while at Benetton in Italy, Mr. Poerink worked on the development and consolidation of well over $600 million in acquisitions of Killerloop, Rollerblade, Prince, Ektelon, Kastle, Asolo and Nordica sports brands.

Mr. Poerink is a founding partner of the children’s brand MJOJO and prior to joining CPC worked as an advisor in private equity and buy-out transactions. Mr. Poerink lives and works in New York City. He has a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Communication from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and has an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Poerink served in the Royal Netherlands Armed Forces Medical Corps and is an advisor and board member to several private businesses, including MJOJO, Luxury Optical Holdings Co., The Coromega Company and The Rocket Dog Brands.
