Sebastian Popik is Managing Partner for Aqua Capital Partners, a recently formed private equity firm which has recently raised its first discretionary fund and closed on a $3M acquisition. He has several years of experience in private equity, formerly as Managing Director of Pampa Capital. At Pampa, he played a key role in defining and raising a $365M Latin America focused agribusiness private equity buyout fund. Subsequently, he had hands-on responsibility for sourcing, structuring and managing portfolio companies, conducting buyouts of seed and pork processing companies for over $40M prior to departing. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer for Salutia, a technology firm in Brazil and Argentina, a company he founded and ran for five years prior to exiting through a trade sale. Mr. Popik consulted for Booz & Co. in Latin America and the US, acquiring broad experience in agribusiness, food and ingredients by working with several leading multinationals in the region. He co-founded, invested and is in the board of three successful and profitable start-ups, with combined revenues of +$10M in their third year of operations. Mr. Popik is on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Cippec, a leading Argentine think tank. He holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar, and has a BA in Economics from Universidad de San Andres.
